Nightline goes behind Netflix.

ABC Nightline went behind the scenes of a California Netflix distribution center.
Wow, I’ve seen videos of people stuffing and unstuffing envelopes and it amazes me every time.
My favorite part of the video is where Netflix inventor and CEO Reed Hastings talks about the first days of Netflix where they were buying all their DVDs from Best Buy! [Click here for link to video]. ABC news doesn’t allow embeds. :(
Check out John Krasinski rockin a beard with Maya Rudolph in Sam Mendes latest film ‘Away We Go’. Looks great. Nice to see Krasinski branching out from Jim.
“Naked Dawn” Trailer. I guess if you were going to remake “Red Dawn”, this would be one of the better versions. Oh, and NSFW, because of lots of pork swords.
“Where the Wild Things Are” Trailer!!! I am so looking forward to this Spike Jonze directed flick.
UPDATE: Looks like Trailer Addict is getting slammed now, so, the video above may not load. Their site isn’t even loading now.
UPDATE 2: It’s working again! It’s in HD now too! It’s beautiful!
‘Let the Right One In’ DVD shipping with wrong subtitles.

The folks over at Icons of Fright have a really nice comparison of the subtitles from the Theatrical release and the Region 1 DVD release of the critically acclaimed ‘Let the Right One In’.
“The subtitles had been drastically changed since the last time I saw it, and dare I say… had been completely dumbed down? Sure, the basic gist of what the characters were saying was kind of there, but missing completely was the darkhumor, subtleties and character nuances which made the movie so powerful and a favorite amongst audiences last year.”
This kinda peeves me off. Some are making the assumption that the distributor didn’t want to pay the Theatrical subtitle maker again for the DVD release, so, they used someone else, or from what it looks like, Google Translate. I haven’t seen this yet, but, it’s marked for next in my Netflix queue.
UPDATE: The film’s distributor Magnet films has agreed to release an updated version with the Theatrical subtitles. But, will not be doing exchanges for people who already purchased the DVD or Blu-Ray.
